KMSP-TV, VHF virtual and digital channel 9, is a Fox-owned and managed television station licensed for Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, and serves the television market of the twin cities. The station is owned by a Fox Television Stations subsidiary Fox Corporation, as part of a duopoly with the owned and operated MyNetworkTV WFTC station (channel 9.2). The two offices are sharing studios on Viking Drive in Eden Prairie and transmitters in Shoreview, Minnesota.

KMSP-TV also serves the Mankato market (via K35KI-D in neighboring St. James through the local municipal cooperative TV (CTV) network of translators), although Fox already has its own branch in this area.

KMSP-TV is also broadcast in Canada on Thunder Bay, Ontario, and on the Bell MTS Fibe in Manitoba.
The Minneapolis Family Broadcasting Corporation, owner of the KEYD radio station (1440 AM, now KYCR), has applied to the FCC for permission to build a new commercial television station that will operate on Channel 9 on November 24, 1953. WLOL and WDGY (now KTLK) also expressed interest, but withdrew their applications in 1954, assuring that the new station would be transferred to KEYD and its owner, Family Broadcasting. KEYD-TV began broadcasting on January 9, 1955 and was affiliated with the DuMont Television Network. At this time, Harry Reisoner, a graduate of Minneapolis Western School and the University of Minnesota, was hired as the first presenter and news director.

However, DuMont closed at the end of 1955, leaving the station as an independent outlet; On June 3, 1956, KEYD radios were sold to United Television, which at that time included several shareholders of the Pittsburgh radio station WENS, for $ 1.5 million. The new owners immediately sold the KEYD radio station, reorienting the KEYD-TV programs to films and sports. and close the news department; Reasoner was hired by CBS News a few months later. Reasoner became the lead for 60 minutes of CBS when it was launched in 1968.the fox lives in 9 twin cities, fox 9 twin cities news, fox 9 twin cities air, fox 9 twin cities tv program, fox 9 twin city program, fox 9 twin city news anchor, fox 9 twin cities tv listings, fox 9 twin city anchor, 9 twin city reporter foxes, my fox is 9 twin cities, channel 9 fox news twin cities, fox 9 twin cities estimate, fox 9 weather twin cities,
