Each week, the AFV team evaluates thousands of home videos sent by users, to give you the fun moments of the "real life" of the United States captured on video.
AFV offers a weekly prize of $ 10,000 for the most fun or unusual video as voted by the audience in the studio. Those prize winners then move on to the next round of competition where they compete for a $ 100,000 prize. At the end of the season, the winners of the $ 100,000 prizes compete for a Grand Prix vacation package. In its 30 seasons to date, AFV has given away more than $ 16 million in prizes and evaluated more than 2 million videos from viewers.
AFV has become an iconic part of American pop culture, as evidenced by its entry into the Smithsonian's permanent entertainment collection. Today, AFV is syndicated in more than 50 countries around the world, spreading American humor and clumsiness around the world!
