Ekushey Television (Bengali: একুশে টেলিভিশন; literally "twenty-one", referring to February 21) is a private satellite television broadcaster in Bangladesh. It is headquartered in Kawran Bazar, Dhaka, and is the first private television station in Bangladesh to broadcast national and international news.

It was first published on April 14, 2000, but closed in 2002 by the BNP-led government after it was accused of posting biased news. The transmitter returned to the air on March 29, 2007. The chairman of Ekushey Television is Mohammed Saiful Alam of the S. Alam Group of Industries.

Plans for a private terrestrial television station in Bangladesh began in early 1997 with A.S.'s son Farhad Mahmud. Mahmud spoke to Simon Dring at a local hotel. The name "Ekushey" was chosen because, according to Dring, it is an allusion to the Bengali language movement of 1952 and the approaching 21st century. In March of the same year, Ekushey Television received a fifteen-year terrestrial license. The station was originally scheduled to go into operation on Victory Day, December 16, 1999.

As a result, on April 14, 2000, Ekushey Television became the first private terrestrial television broadcaster in the country. It covered half of the country's population and became the most watched broadcaster with its high quality programming. The channel was broadcast on five channels on the FM band on the Bangladesh Television Network.
