The 2019 European Cricket League (abbreviated ECL19) was the inaugural edition of the European Cricket League. It was held in July 2019 with eight European champion club teams. At ECL19, the national club champions from Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Romania, Russia and Spain competed for the chance to become the European club cricket champions.
Players from 18 European countries participated, as well as more traditional cricket countries. The league adopted the T10 format and was played for three days. La Manga Club in Cartagena, Murcia, Spain hosted the tournament, which took place between July 29 and July 31, 2019.
Featuring 17 matches in T10 format over three days, each match was televised live in Europe, Asia, North America and Australasia through a combination of broadcast, digital and social channels, including the recently launched European Cricket Network. More than 100 broadcast coverage countries around the world, including the UK, Australia, India, the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, France, Germany, Turkey, Spain, the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean. The teams were divided into two groups of four and the matches were played head-on in La Manga with the first two of each advancing to play the semi-finals and final. The current ECL title holders are V.O.C Rotterdam of the Netherlands, who won the inaugural 2019 season, beating SG Findorff (Bremen) of Germany in the final.
