Ideal World is the British Free-to-view shopping channel, including its sister shopping channels Ideal Extra, Creation & Craft and CCXTV Craft Extra. It is owned by Ideal Shopping Direct Limited. The channel broadcasts from studios in Peterborough.
In 2011, the company was removed from the AIM exchange after it was acquired by Village Ventures' investment fund Inflexion Private Equity. The company was later sold to The Blackstone Group in 2015.
In May 2013, Ideal World became the subject of a BBC Watchdog investigation after viewers complained about goods not being delivered and some products allegedly of poor quality. Customers also claimed that complaints to Ideal World customer service were either unanswered or unsatisfactory.
