KBS Nine O'Clock News (also known as KBS News 9 (KBS 뉴스 9 in Korean)) is the flagship newsletter that airs on KBS1 every night at 9:00 p.m. KST. The program is broadcast throughout South Korea, as well as on the KBS World service, which provides titles in English throughout the news. The newscast features news, sports, weather, health, society, and more. It was first presented on August 31, 1964 in the form of a short newsletter, but then developed and became KBS News 9, which was broadcast on May 22, 1973.
Between 9:30 p.m. and 9:35 p.m., local KBS stations outside of Seoul move away from the national news to provide a 15-minute news window in their respective regions.
