The World Pool Masters is the annual international nine-ball tournament. It used to be called European Pool Masters until (until 1995) players from other parts of the world were invited.

For most of its history, the tournament has hosted sixteen world-class pool players competing in a single elimination format. In 2010, the number of players doubled to 32. The first round of the event was played as double elimination, and the second round was played as single elimination.

In 2011, the tournament returned to its original 16-player single-elimination format and each match competed against 8, with the winner taking a break. The 2011 edition was held at the SM North EDSA Mall in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Germany's Ralf Souquet won the record-breaking tournament for the sixth time, beating defending champion Dennis Orcollo from the Philippines 8-5.

For the 2019 World Pool Masters, the field has been changed to accommodate 24 players and the seeded players are bid farewell in the first round.
