KXXV, virtual channel 25 (UHF digital channel 26), is an ABC-connected television station licensed for Waco, Texas, USA and serving Central Texas, including Waco, Temple and Killeen. The station belongs to the E. W. Scripps Company.
KXXV's studios are on South New Road in Waco, and the broadcaster is near Moody, Texas. KXXV is available via cable on Charter Spectrum channel 5 in standard and high definition as well as on Grande Communications channels 5 (SD) and 805 (HD).
KRHD-CD (virtual channel 40, UHF channel 15) in Bryan works as a low-performance semi-satellite of class A from KXXV; This station is located in the United States 190 northwest of Bryan in Robertson County, United States.
KXXV first registered as an NBC partner on March 22, 1985. The broadcaster was originally owned by the Central Texas Broadcasting Company, Ltd. Waco was one of the last markets in the country to receive full service from all three traditional broadcast networks. In September it switched to ABC and the NBC programs returned to KCEN-TV (channel 6).
Central Texas Broadcasting sold KXXV to Shamrock Broadcasting in 1987. Drewry Communications bought the station from Shamrock in 1994. KRHD-CD's call letters are based on the name of Robert H. Drewry, an Oklahoma-born and founder of the Drewry Communications Group.
