La Plata is an Amtrak train station in La Plata, Missouri, USA, and Amtrak's Southwestern Chief between Chicago and Los Angeles is a passenger stop for the long road route. In 1945, Atchison was built by Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, replacing the deteriorating 1887 passenger and cargo warehouse.
