The Afghanistan national cricket team is the team that plays Afghanistan's international cricket matches. Afghanistan has played cricket since the mid-19th century. This team is managed by the Afghanistan Cricket Board. In 2013 he became an associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Afghanistan took part in Cricket World Cup qualifiers once.[1] He also competed once in the Cricket World Cup. Matches in the Twenty20 format have been played since February 2, 2010.

Cricket is a team sport played between two teams of 11 using bat and ball on an oval field with a 20 meter (22 yard) rectangular field in the centre.

The team's player in the kicker's position, who is at one end of the rectangular playing field, throws the ball to the other end, where the team player is in the kicker's position, and tries to touch the wicket behind the kicker.

After a successful kick, the players on the pitching team try to catch the ball while the kicker runs down the field towards the wicket opposite him. If the ball is caught before it leaves the field, it wins one of the numbers called run, if it leaves the field it wins four, if it leaves the field without touching the ground it wins six , and while in the batter position, he tries to get the maximum score.

The bowling team, on the other hand, attempts to eliminate the kickers from play by touching the ball with one of the wickets, catching the ball before it touches the ground, or in some exceptional cases. If another player replaces the player out of play, the shooting team must change their pitcher every six shots, known as an over.

There are three main formats used in international cricket competitions. According to the Twenty20 format, both teams will go on to twenty overs and the teams' roles will change after the first 20 overs have been completed. If ten batsmen are out of the game, teams' roles change even if 20 overs are not reached.

Each of these two-period parts is called an innings. In a one-day game format, both teams play 50 overs each. In a Test format game lasting five days, both teams are entitled to two innings and there is no overlimit for those innings. If the batting team has not been able to match the opponent's ball run in the last innings, the rune difference is checked and the team with more runes wins with the same runes as the difference.

If, at the end of the game, the team in batting position exceeds the opposing team's number of runs, the wicket they have taken during the game is deducted from the count of ten and they win the game by as many wickets as the remaining score . Team scores are displayed in run/wicket format.

Cricket was first played in southern England in the 16th century and became the country's national sport in the late 18th century. It spread to its colonies as the British Empire expanded its borders, and the first international games were played in the mid-19th century.

Today there are 10 members of the International Cricket Council, the sport's international governing body; This sport is widespread in Australasia, England, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, the Caribbean and South Africa.
