The Southwest Florida Eagle Cam is a site featuring live streaming cameras trained in a bald eagle nest 60 feet [60 m] above ground on a Slash Pine tree in North Fort Myers, Florida. The live stream site displays eagle parents and their family as they build and restore the nest, mate, lay eggs and cause natural elements and predators in the area. The site was launched with one camera in September 2012. It is one of more than a dozen eagle cameras across the Americas.
The live camera was created by landowner Dick Pritchett Real Estate to observe eagles in their natural habitat in the hope of providing an educational and learning experience.
