KDFW, Virtual Channel 4 (UHF Digital Channel 35), is a Fox-owned and managed television station licensed in Dallas, Texas, USA, serving the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The station is owned by Fox Television Stations, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fox Corporation, as part of a duopoly owned by MyNetworkTV and operated by KDFI (channel 27). The two stations share studios on North Griffin Street (between Patterson and San Jacinto Streets) in downtown Dallas and the transmission stations south of the Belt Line intersection and Mansfield Cedar Hill roads.

On August 20, 1945, KRLD Radio was a subsidiary of the now defunct Dallas Times Herald, which was then led by the president of Times Herald Printing Co. Tom S. Gooch, - filed an application with the Federal Communications Commission. (FCC) to obtain a license and permission to build a commercial television station on channel 2 of VHF. August 22, 1946, one year and two days after applying for a broadcast license, KRLD Radio Corp. made changes to her application, instead requesting an assignment. on VHF Channel 4. (VHF Channel 2 distribution was later reassigned by Denton as part of the FCC's Sixth Report and Order in November 1951; it will ultimately be assigned to North Texas Public Broadcasting, which is subscribed to KDTN - now a Daystar owned and operated station - on top of this distribution on September 1, 1988.) The FCC Broadcasting Bureau licensed the Times Herald on September 13, 1946.
