Citizen TV is a Kenyan free-to-air TV channel owned by Royal Media Services and broadcasts primarily in English and Swahili. It was launched in 1999 and relaunched in June 2006.
Citizen TV broadcasts entertainment in various genres, from local to international. It airs a wide range of soap operas and has a reasonable amount of local content and news.
On July 22, 2018, Citizen TV unveiled its new TV studio and star-studded news anchors. Among them were Lulu Hassan and Rashid Abdallah, the first married couple to present the news on Kenyan television. In 2021, the station also launched a subsidiary, Ramogi TV.
