CTi TV was established in 1994, formerly known as China Television Network (CTN; Chinese: Communication TV). CTN has two main channels, Chung Tien (Chinese: Zhongtian Channel) and Dadi (Chinese: Dadi Channel). On January 30, 1997, the ownership was transferred from Yu Pinhai, the current chairman of Nanhai Holdings Co., Ltd., to Koos Group.
In 2000, the controlling stake was again changed from the KG Group to the Xiangshan Group, which was still operating at the time.
