ATV (formerly known as Magyar ATV) is the first Hungarian private television channel, broadcasting continuously since 1989. The focus of programming is news, public life and current events. Licensed as a public commercial television channel to broadcast 50% of the time. Due to this special status, the station is in the process of applying for subsidies from the government and the radio and television authority. Since 2003, the owner of the canal is the Hungarian Church of the Faith.
