CGTN Russian (formerly CCTV International Russian (Russian: Центральное Телевидение Китая Международный канал на Pусском языке, Tsentral'noye Televideniye Kitaya Mezhdunarodnyy Kanalng ngu Dinyóyke short: Televinyo ngàiny in Chinese) is a Russian-language international news, entertainment and education television channel.
Broadcasting in Russian, the channel opened on September 10, 2009, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Beijing and Moscow. CCTV is broadcast in Russian, through Chinasat 6B and EB-9A, covering the Asia-Pacific Region, Middle East and Europe.
The channel targets nearly 300 million viewers from 12 Commonwealth of Independent States members, Eastern Europe and three Baltic Sea countries. Since 2016, CCTV has been involved in the online translation of SPB TV in Russian, Kemer and Road TV (SPB TV) application.
The channel broadcasts entirely in Russian with 16 programs in the form of news, featured stories, entertainment and educational programs. The daily program consists of 6-hour blocks. All feature programs will be broadcast four times a day, while news feeds will be updated more frequently.
